Parish Fundraising Draw – A Night of Community and Celebration
Our Parish Fundraising Draw took place on Friday evening, 31st October, following Mass in Tenure — a wonderful evening of community spirit, gratitude, and celebration.
We were delighted to be joined by Eoghan Callaghan, captain of the senior football team who won the championship last week. Owen kindly carried out the draw for the winning tickets, adding a lovely sense of local pride to the occasion.
The evening opened with a warm welcome from Nicola, a member of the Parish Committee, followed by words from Ray, Chairperson of the Finance Council, and myself as Parish Priest. Together, we reflected on the great effort, generosity, and teamwork that made this campaign possible.
Thanks to your incredible support, every euro the draw has raised for parish restoration and development projects will help us complete important works in Tenure and Fieldstown Churches and maintain the newly refurbished Parochial House and Parish Room — spaces that will serve the whole community for years to come.
All of our prizes were sponsored, and we wish to sincerely thank our major sponsors — including The Monasterboice Inn, a private individual donor, The Valley Inn, Tenure Store, and several others from the local area — for their generosity and goodwill.
Around 25 people gathered in the Parish Room for the draw, and the event was streamed online for those watching from home. You can watch the full video above to see the moment our winners were announced!
As we close this chapter, we want to thank everyone who sold tickets, helped organise the draw, or offered support in any way. Your contribution has made a real and lasting difference.
